Singapore Changi Airport Terminal 4

Changi Airport Terminal 4 officially opened in 31 October 2017.

It handles over 16 million passengers annually and is located at the southern end part of Singapore Changi Airport. 

Regional and low-cost airlines operate in Changi Terminal 4 since it was the former location of the Budget Terminal, demolished in 2012.

It is home of boarding gates G & H.

Levels

Changi Airport Terminal 4 building has 17 stands air bridges, 4 of them for large aircraft. Its total surface is 225,000 sqm.

Arrivals Hall

Some of the services offered in the terminal are self-service check-in, automated bag drop, immigration clearance, among others. 

Departures Transit Hall (2nd level)

A 2-storey level of 160,000 sqm host regional and low-cost airlines lounges and air bridges. There is a whole dedicated space to retail stores, the Heritage Zone, where traditional Peranakan shop front facades are shown.

Transfer between terminals

Connection to Changi Terminal 2 is done by the Free Airport Shuttle Bus instead of the SkyTrain.

Passengers coming from Terminals 1 and 3 are kindly requested to board the SkyTrain at Changi Terminal 2 to be able to board the Free Airport Shuttle Bus to Terminal 4. 

Ground transportation between Changi Terminal 4 to aircraft stands is possible thanks to a bridge across the airport Boulevard.

Also, a new road redirects traffic from Changi Terminal 4 to East Coast Parkway.

Singapore Changi Airport Terminal 4 hosts automatic facilities by facial recognition system such as self-service check-in, self-bag tagging, automated baggage drop, among others, under the concept “Fast and Seamless travel at Changi”. 

On the other hand, Changi Terminal 4 counts with centralized departure and immigration control.

Entrance fee: 34$ per passenger (3 hours access).

Cathay Pacific Lounge: Location: Departures Transit Lounge. Open from 04:00 am to 01:00 am. Services: Premium food, Snacks, Alcoholic drinks, Wi-Fi, Flight monitors, Newspapers, Magazines, Printers, Copiers. Please note it is a non-smoking facility.

The Heritage Facade

In the Departures Transit Hall level 2, passengers may find aside of the retail area, the Heritage Facade, a small scale recreation of the Peranakan shophouses of Singapore.

Entertainment Corner

In the Entertainment Corner, passengers may find a wide selection of games, both video games and arcade machines.

Find it at the Departure Transit Hall, close to G18 gate.

Immersive Wall

In the Centralised Security area, the Immersive Wall stands for a LED display whose aim is to entertain passengers while waiting to clear security screening. The display shows Singapore’s skyline.

Steel in Bloom

Steel in Bloom is a 6m-high centrepiece garden featuring an intricate botanical motifs which are modelled in steel. The display is enhanced by multi-coloured lighting. Find it at the Departures Hall.
