Singapore Airport Terminals

Singapore Airport Terminals are actually four: Terminal 1, Terminal 2, Terminal 3 and Terminal 4, distributed in an inverted U shape and having six boarding gates in total: A, B, C, D, E, F and G.

All four terminals have a total capacity of handling 85 million passengers per year, being one of the busiest airports in the world and one of the largest aviation hubs in Asia.

Present & future

Changi Terminal 5 is expected to be ready by 2030 and will handle over 50 million passengers annually.

Changi Airport Terminal 1

Singapore Changi Airport Terminal 1 is the main and the oldest terminal of Changi Airport. 

It is the busiest of all terminals since it hosts international flights anywhere in the world

Changi Airport Terminal 2

Adjacent to Changi Terminal 1, Singapore Changi Airport Terminal 2 hosts flights to Middle East, Africa, Southeast Asia and Indian Subcontinent. 

It is the entertainment hub, offering a wide range of attractions to passengers.

Changi Airport Terminal 3

Singapore Changi Airport Terminal 3 operates flights departing to Europe, North America, South America, East Asia and Oceania. 

It is the main terminal for Singapore Airlines.

Singapore Changi Airport Terminal 4 hosts low-cost carrier flights and regional services.

JETQuay CIP Terminal

This is an executive flights terminal. It is located between Changi Airport Terminal 2 and the VIP terminal.

JETQuay CIP Terminal is provided with private facilities: Check-in, baggage handling and immigration clearance services.

Jewel Changi Airport

Jewel Changi Airport is a multi-purpose structure connecting Changi Terminals 1, 2 and 3.

It has several attractions and also shopping and dining options as well as a hotel open to all passengers.

Transfer between terminals

Changi Terminal 1, Changi Terminal 2 and Changi Terminal 3 are connected by the SkyTrain, a shuttle free service to both transit and public areas.

SkyTrain has a waiting time of 4 minutes and takes also 4 minutes to connect between terminals.

Service hours: 05:00 - 02:30 pm

When SkyTrain is closed, there are several transfer options:

By foot

It is possible to transfer by foot by the inter-terminal travellators located at Departure transit areas.

Note that between terminals 2 and 3 there’s a link bridge.

Free shuttle bus

There’s a free shuttle bus service between terminals 1, 2 and 3. Waiting time is 15 minutes.

Service hours: 02:30 pm to 05:00 am.

Travelling to Terminal 4

On the other hand, there is a 24-hour shuttle bus service to and from Terminal 4:

From Terminal 2

Passengers should proceed to the shuttle bus pick up location (Arrivals Hall Door #1). The trip time is about 10 minutes from 05:30 am to 00:00 am and 20 minutes from 00:00 am to 05:30 am.

From Terminal 1 and Terminal 3

Passengers should connect first to Terminal 2 through the SkyTrain and from there take the shuttle bus.

Travelling from Terminal 4

To Terminal 2

The shuttle pick up point in Terminal 4 is located at the Arrivals Hall first level (Door 1). The trip time is about 10 minutes from 05:30 am to 00:00 am, and 20 minutes from 00:00 am to 05:30 am.

To Terminal 1 and Terminal 3

Please connect to Terminal 2 to get to both Terminal 1 and Terminal 3 by the SkyTrain.

Terminal 2

Bus stop at Terminal 2 is located at Gate 51.

Terminal 4

The pick-up point is conveniently located at the Transfer Lounge.

The journey takes 12 minutes and frequency is 24 minutes.

Travelling to and from Jewel Changi Airport

Take a look at the transfer options to and from Jewel:

From Terminal 1

From the Arrivals Hall (level 1), passengers can connect to Jewel’s North entrance.

From Terminal 2 and Terminal 3

From both Terminal 2 and Terminal 3, Jewel is located within a 5-10 minute walk from the following locations:

Terminal 2: Departure Hall (close to Row 1)

Terminal 3: Departure Hall (close to Row 11)

From Terminal 4

Take the Free Airport Shuttle Bus to Terminal 2 and then walk to Departures Hall (level 2), close to row 1, and then take the escalator to level 3, where the link bridge to Jewel’s East Gateway entrance is located.
